For Autumn/Winter 2025, Stella McCartney presents a wardrobe that blurs the lines between professional prowess and after-hours allure. Dubbed Laptop to Lapdance, the collection is an ode to the modern woman in all her facets—commanding in the boardroom, unapologetic on the dancefloor, and unrelenting in her values.
This season’s Stella woman is dynamic and multifaceted—an entrepreneur, a leader, a nurturer, and a force for change. She is confident in both intellect and intimacy, embracing her sexuality, compassion, and ambition as equal pillars of strength. AW25 offers a seamless transition between the two worlds she dominates, reinforcing that power and pleasure need not be mutually exclusive.

The runway was transformed into STELLA CORP—a fictional research lab at the cutting edge of sustainable innovation, pioneering ethical alternatives to exotic skins. A direct rejection of python, ostrich, and traditional leather, the collection reaffirms McCartney’s commitment to cruelty-free fashion, with 96% of materials consciously sourced and 100% free from animal products.
Drawing from her own archives, McCartney fuses her Central Saint Martins-era lacework with the structured tailoring she honed under Savile Row legend Edward Sexton. Silhouettes oscillate between sculptural rigidity and fluid sensuality, while a palette of earthy khakis and corporate greys is disrupted by bold injections of lipstick red. Hand-embroidered lead-free crystal embellishments and metallic accents bring an edge to eveningwear.

Blurring the lines between workwear and nightlife, AW25 reimagines power dressing with a distinctly modern attitude. Sharp-shouldered blazers and body-conscious knits pay homage to the audacious suiting of the ‘80s, while cinched tailoring sculpts the body with precision. Oversized men’s coats in cocooning cuts offer a contrast to pencil skirts and tapered trousers, embodying the balance of strength and softness that defines the collection.
A disruptive take on traditional luxury, McCartney introduces pixelated faux-snakeskin prints across fluid forest-friendly viscose satin and jersey, while YATAY M—a mycelium-based vegan material—mimics the texture of python and ostrich in outerwear and structured tailoring. Knitwear is reinvented, from sculptural 3D looped textures to voluminous cruelty-free teddy coats.

Eveningwear dazzles with innovation, featuring hand-embellished mini dresses adorned with world-first Sequinova plant-based sequins and recycled glass beadwork. Chain-draped chaps nod to the brand’s iconic Falabella, adding a rebellious streak to the collection’s after-dark narrative.
Accessories take centre stage with a refined sense of purpose. The new Ryder tote, handcrafted in Italy from alternative leathers, is sized to accommodate both a laptop and life beyond the office. The Falabella makes a statement in plush patent, crushed velvet, and hand-embroidered metallics, bridging the gap between practicality and extravagance. Footwear plays on contrast, juxtaposing a structured masculine loafer with a sleek, sensuous heel—both crafted without animal-derived materials. Meanwhile, the Stella McCartney x Adidas Rasant sneaker makes its return in updated colourways, maintaining its vegan and recycled ethos.

Available from August 2025, the collection will launch in Stella McCartney boutiques, online, and through select retailers worldwide. Seated among the guests were Shanina Shaik, Berluti CEO Antoine Arnault, Cameron Diaz, Tom Ford, musician Ice Spice, and model Barbara Palvin—each embodying a different facet of the Stella woman’s multifaceted world.
With AW25, Stella McCartney makes it clear: strength is found in softness, power in play, and sustainability in style.
